I started playing with no idea of what was going on, only that people were rioting and I was apparently attempting to convert them to "the other side," if you will. When everyone was of the same persuasion, the player character changes color (ideals) and must attempt to sway others back. I, at least, took it as an indication of peoples' sudden and unpredictable switches in ideology.
As time passes, it becomes easier and easier to convince people of whichever ideal I hold, showing not only how people change easily, but how as time goes on, views become more extreme, and people are more easily swayed.
Finally, the player character attempts to find a middle ground and convince people of an alternative to two extremes, thus the Grey. Because he is on neither extreme, though, his voice is lost in the crowd and he is left unnoticed.
At least, it's my interpretation of the whole thing. I don't know if it's right or not, and though I would love to know the true meaning behind it, those are still the thoughts this game will provoke in me.
It made me think about human nature, about how people so willingly take to extremes. As it says in the title, I found it very sobering.
All my 10 are belong to you two.

I opened the game not knowing what to expect, not even knowing what kind of game it was. The intro was decent (I commend you for letting the player click past it, by the way - unskippable intros are shitty), but when the gameplay started, I thought, "It's just your average side scrolling shooter."
That's when I first used my laser. I have to say, the roars were excellent. I laughed - hard - when I dispatched a line of enemies with a roaring laser.
The game itself was fun, with plenty of action going on at once without getting cluttered. The problem with the game is, it's too easy and it's too short.
I'm horrible at this time of game, but I only lost one life in the game, and that was because I wanted to find out if the scenery could hurt (It hurt MUCH more quickly than I expected, and I lost a life). I almost lost another facing the boss when it sped up its rotation because I wasn't expecting it, but it was just too easy as a whole.
Now, for one level and a boss, it was great. The problem is, it left me wanting. I destroyed the boss, was fully prepared for a second level - nope, end cutscene and credits.
One thing that irks me about the game (not just a small complaint about length or difficulty) is the fact that the music when facing the boss doesn't loop. By the time I have it half destroyed, the music's completely stopped and doesn't start again. It's just a bit offputting to hear one of the exaggerated roars when there's no music accompanying it.
Despite the looping issue and how quick the game ended, it was an amazingly fun game for what it is. I had fun with it, and even went back to do it again with the other dino.
I give you my 9/10.

I managed to kill about 2700 ninja, but the six that got inside were enough to take it down.
The game was well polished, with small things like the background changing as you change time, the different stages of the clock's deterioration, etc.
The music was, as in all of your games, superb. Excellent choice.
It could do with a bit more work to make it less repetitive, something along the lines of powerups for reaching a certain number of kills or something, but it was a pretty solid game.
Now, I think I'm off to play some more of SCGMDX3.

Ya, we wanted to do something really simple with this one.
Thank you for playing it and reviewing.

So, someone starts a massive murdering to get someone out of detention, dies in the process, and fails to make any lasting effect because the detainee goes back into detention the next day?
The music was good, I'll give it that much. The sound effects, decent.
However, as a whole, I'd say the writing gave no thought to where the movie should go. It wasn't humorous, it wasn't fleshed out enough to make it dramatic, and there were too many near-still moments for it to be action-y.
Also, Johnson - Stop bitching at anyone who says things like "Stop making flash, this was horrible." As a submitter, you WILL get responses like that. The best movie made would have someone saying "Blarg this is shit." Next time someone tells you how shitty they think something is, don't bitch and moan to them about it.

The voiceover was decent, and I'm all for taking quotes of the Bible and using them as a base for murder, but... what was the point?
It was mostly a still picture of two men in a car, suddenly he pulls a gun, the camera shifts away and the windows start flashing (before the sound of gunfire started, might I add), and then he steps out after calmly murdering someone I'd assumed was a friend.
If you make another and actually go somewhere with it, flesh anything out, I'd gladly rate it higher.

It was decent. No more, no less.
To the reviewer below ME - I'm an American, and I have to say this - people need to give 9/11 a rest already. It was a horrible thing, yes, we KNOW already. It's pointless to DWELL on the past like we have the last few years, though. Worse things have happened. Americans need to realize that just because it was the first act of terrorism in a time of relative peace doesn't mean it's the most horrible thing ever to happen.
People need to give this shit less emphasis, already, and let it fucking rest.

There was absolutely no effort put into is. It was nothing but a poorly-made short with use of shape tweening and some music.
Did you not even notice that the graphic on the left matched up with NO other facet of art? This presented aesthetics in a way that makes my very eyes feel pain.
This was not funny. This was not "random." This was a half-assed attempt to piece together nothing, and you have the gall to even call this a flash movie. More than a movie, this is a piece of flash vomit, one of the most horribly assorted pieces in the name of all that is flash.
If this is truly the best you've ever created, and you take pride in that, I urge you - STOP MAKING FLASH MOVIES. It will save us pain and you embarrassment.

This was a pretty decent game, but I have a few minor complaints with it.
The first - jumping. I could be at the peak of a jump, but if an enemy on the ground swung, it would hit me anyway. I'm FAIRLY certain jumping shouldn't be like that, hm?
Another thing is how the attacks were on two wholly different extremes.
Heavy strike was almost worthless. It took so much time you'd often be hit by an enemy with off-time strikes before actually using it.
If you just ran forward using the quick hit the entire time, you could get past most levels without getting hit because you could somehow hit them from farther away than possible while they're still in the start of their attacking animation.
Next, the lack of a pause feature. Because the enemies were constantly in motion with you and you couldn't stand still, a pause function would have been great. As it is, you couldn't even click for parts of cutscenes. The only time you could take a breather and leave the game was at the very start of a level so when you die you don't lose any ground.
I found the thing about promising to spare someone and then executing him to be a bit dickish. I mean, I know it's safer to do that and cover your tracks, but it just seems inappropriate for the hero of a game, y'know?
This one isn't really a complaint, it's just a personal gripe - the cave was a bitch. =) It took several attempts to get past it.
This was decent, but it could have been better. I'm about to see if the sequek shaped up any.
Author's Response:
I agree this game has a lot of things that can be improved upon. Sorry about all those things, this was one of my very first flash games and I didn't have much experience or knowledge about making games. I think I did improve upon many of your complaints in the sequel though...
And yeah, the hero is just a tiny little bit of a prick. I didn't want to make him into a totally goodie-goodie character :)

This was pretty clever as a marketing endorsement game, and I had fun playing it.
There could have been more customizations available, but there were enough to work with.
The sound effects of a few special moves were mildly annoying (I'm looking at the laser), but they were pretty sound for the most part.
I had no problems pulling off special moves, and I liked that the computer used them as well, without spamming them.
A decent game, but its short length and lack of a feature to battle outside of the 6-enemy lineup in that one order bring the score down a bit more.
Good enough, but nothing I'll come by and play a second time. 7/10.

I just beat it after playing for about an hour. I wound up having to buy the uber-gun and every upgrade to do it, though... ^_^'
Anyway, the game... it was a great bullet hell shooter, and I really had fun with it.
The graphics and music fit perfectly kept me fixated on the game the whole time; my attention didn't get pulled away. There wasn't a bored moment.
The actually shooting mechanism was interesting - it drags behind you unless you choose to hold it out, meaning you can swivel it around in an instant. That was the first time I've seen a system like this, and it works very well for this type of game.
The ending, though it was your basic "Thanks for playing" kind, still gave me a sense of accomplishment after spending an hour shooting things and killing my wrist.
I can only repeat your closing line - "All our base are belong to YOU."
